How to Install TikTok on iPhone in India during the ban

TikTok, the infamous video sharing application, was banned in India a week ago. The Supreme Court of Madras cited the exposure of children to pornographic and other inappropriate material as a reason to dismiss the case. As a result of the ban, the TikTok application has been removed from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. As a result, new users will not be able to download the application, while existing users will be able to use the application as before. Fortunately, the competent court annulled it on the 24th day. April to lift the ban on TikTok. However, the application is not yet available for download at Apple and Google app stores.

Although TikTok is prohibited on Android, you can easily download and install it by downloading the MOT application. On the other hand, it is not possible to install the application manually on iOS devices such as the iPhone and iPad. This is because Apple does not allow the downloading of applications from third party platforms, so iOS users only have the option to install the application from the official App Store.

In this article we show a simple solution to circumvent the ban and install TikTok on the iPhone or iPad in India. Technically, you are not violating Indian laws and the rules of the App Store since the ban on TikTok has been lifted. Moreover, there is no risk of installing a fraudulent or modified application as you download TikTok from the app store itself. Here’s how to download TikTok directly to iOS devices after the ban.

In this solution, we change the region or country of our Apple ID to a country other than India. This would trick the app store into thinking that the user is approaching the store from outside India. Let’s proceed as follows.

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Click on your profile picture in the top left corner.
  3. In the Account section, click on your name and email address.
  4. Select Country/Region in the account settings.
  5. Click on the Change country or region button.
  6. Scroll down and select the United States as your country.
  7. Click on I accept the conditions.
  8. Choose None as payment method.
  9. Enter an American address for the billing address, for example B. Apple or Google. (Link to image).
  10. Click on Next and then click on Finish.
  11. That’s it! Search for Ticktock in the App Store, and you’ll see it appear at the top of the list.
  12. Click the Get button to install it.

NOTE: If a payment method has already been added to your account, it will be deleted when you change country. However, you can re-enter your credit or debit card details from India (in step 8) and they will be accepted. In case there is a balance in your account, you can only move to another country if you spend your entire balance.

However, if you change countries to return to India, the TikTok application will remain on your device. It still works well because the application is not locked at server level.
